We at Godwin Modern School have redesigned our Middle School Course, according to the New Pedagogical & Curricular Structure (NEP2020).
Our aim is to provide a well-rounded education that enables our students to acquire and develop the skills, knowledge, personal attributes and qualifications they will need for their future.
Therefore, we have designed and planned a broad, balanced and challenging curriculum that matches our students’ ability, interests and aspirations.
This course caters students of Age group 12-14 years for Classes 6 to 8. The Middle School Is the foundation for the Secondary Course where the students are introduced to learning through a well-structured student oriented three (3) year course where emphasis is laid on core content to encourage critical thinking, analysis and discussion.
Students in the Middle School students are offered three languages, English as the First Language, Hindi/ Bengali/ Nepali as the Second Language and an additional compulsory Third Vernacular Language other than their own along with Mathematics, Science, Computer and Social Science as per the syllabus and curriculum laid down by CBSE. The children are always excited when they reach this stage because they are able to learn and communicate in a different language. This generates curiosity and growth in their learning. We encourage students to Opt for Vocational Studies from various skill subjects of their interests from Class 6 so that they add a skill to their learning which could be helpful on their future career and prospects.
We also introduce the students with Practicals in Science & Mathematics along with Project Works, Group Discussions, Debates , Critical Analysis and arrays of other creative activities in the Middle School.
Other than Academics, at the stage the student is exposed to self motivation and a wide range of engaging, creative and exciting learning opportunities, so that they become confident, successful and ambitious learners to succeed in life.
